The StandOut - Ready for Tomorrow project, part of Plan International’s initiative and funded by the Arab-Danish Partnership Program, aimed to empower Jordanian youth (ages 18-35) by enhancing their employability and entrepreneurial skills, with a focus on the green economy. BPWA implemented the project in two key pillars: first, by building the capacity of certified trainers to deliver tailored Business Plan Development training and mentorship to young people across universities and governorates; second, by providing hands-on entrepreneurial training, guidance, and marketing support to youth, helping them build brands, expand their social media presence, and connect with opportunities to develop and launch their projects. This initiative equipped youth with the necessary tools to thrive in the evolving job market and seize opportunities in the green economy.

Project Outcomes

Transformed Youth Mindsets: Reached 821 university students through engaging awareness sessions on entrepreneurial mindset—sparking innovation, ambition, and future-ready thinking among young Jordanians.
Built Strategic Partnerships: Established 35 impactful partnerships with universities, community-based organizations (CBOs), and civil society organizations (CSOs) to expand outreach and enhance local engagement.
Delivered 16 Business Plan Development Trainings: Equipped 281 youth—from both idea-stage and early-stage businesses—with practical tools to develop and refine their business models.
One-on-One Business Coaching: Conducted personalized coaching sessions that resulted in the submission of 123 high-quality business plans out of 126—a testament to the effectiveness of the training and mentorship approach.
Pitching & Legal Training Event: Organized a dynamic event featuring 25 stakeholders and 94 youth participants, focused on enhancing legal knowledge and pitching skills, while providing real opportunities for business matching and growth.
Scaled 20 Youth-Led Projects & Achieved Official Formalization for 7: Supported 20 standout projects in enhancing their branding and marketing presence, with 7 successfully formalized as official businesses—marking a significant step toward sustainable growth and market readiness.
